TOZO HA1 Headphones
Type
Over-Ear Headphones

$49.99
TOZO has just released a brand new headphone the ‘HA1’ in its headphones collection, offering the latest Bluetooth 5.4 connection. While the company mostly focuses on earbuds, it also has a couple of headphones for users on a budget. At the moment, the company hasn’t expanded its lineup with premium headphones and we mostly find budget headphones for the masses.
The headphones market is quite big and is predicted to grow by 2.3% CAGR from 2024-2029. The majority of users go for regular headphones for work and multimedia but there are audiophiles too, who want to get the best out of their money when it comes to audio delivery.
In this review, we will analyze the TOZO HA1 Bluetooth headphones in every area, including audio delivery, ergonomics, functionality, ease-of-use, and battery life, followed by our verdict pointing out its Pros and addressing the issues we found out.
Packaging and Contents
The packaging was good and the headphones were stuffed with foam. The contents include just a few accessories as follows:
- TOZO HA1 Headphones
- 1x USB Type A to C cable
- 1x 3.5mm male to male cable
- Quick Guide and User Manual
There isn’t much info in the User Manual. It is just an expansion of the Quick Guide but it lists all the features and specifications of the HA1 headphones.

Build Quality and Ergonomics
The TOZO HA1 headphones are lightweight and even though the specs sheet doesn’t mention the exact weight of the headphones, these feel pretty light compared to most over-ear headphones I have used till now. The build quality is decent enough for its price tag but they aren’t too premium nor do they feel cheap by any means.
Every component feels solid in build quality and thankfully, nothing is flimsy. I liked its simple, minimalistic, and ergonomic design, which allows it to be used by users with different head sizes. I am not sure if these are a good fit for people with large ears but these are mostly fine for users with small and medium ears.
Both earcups are attached to the headband via a mechanical connection that allows it to be rotated 90 degrees on one side. Furthermore, the earcups can be folded for easy storage in compact spaces making them easy to carry. The earcups can also be tilted inside, which automatically adjusts according to the individual’s head and ears.

The headband is also adjustable and can be stretched on both sides to accommodate different head sizes. Adjusting the headband is easier when not on the head, but it is not very pleasant when you wear the headphones. I found myself struggling with expanding or shrinking the headband when I wore them. It’s not a big deal since it takes a couple of seconds to take them out and adjust but it is still something that should have been improved to make adjustment easier.
The earcups are well-cushioned. The cushioning isn’t too thick but it gets the job done. After wearing it for an hour or so, I didn’t have pain in my ears, which is a big plus point since I find myself not being able to tolerate the pressure most budget headphones can have. The headphones feel a bit tight initially but due to good ergonomics, there isn’t any huge issue.
Functionality, Connectivity, and Ease of Use

I loved how the headphones kept the background noise of the environment at bay. It’s like having ANC(Active Noise Cancellation) and it feels similar to using headphones equipped with ANC. This is a result of the great ergonomics TOZO has implemented on the HA1. Nonetheless, the headphones do have ENC, which is for better communication in noisy environments.
The headphones use the latest Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, allowing a stable and wider range for the wireless connection. Once you pair the headphones to your device, specifically your smartphone, you can now add it to the TOZO app. Through the TOZO app, the headphones can be customized for a better listening experience. There are plenty of EQ modes to choose from and you can track the battery status as well. However, the battery life doesn’t show a decrement in steps of 1% but rather shows a straight 10% decrement every time. This is weird and doesn’t help much but we will see how its battery performs later.

As for its operation, the headphones come with a few buttons and connectivity ports on the right earcup. You can identify the Left and Right earcups by looking at the earcups. There are no controls on the left earcup as the right earcup has everything for basic functions.
There is a small Power button, an EQ button, Volume +/- buttons, a USB C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. To power on the headphones, you will need to press the power button for 2 seconds and for 4 seconds to turn it off. To change the EQ modes, you just have to press the button to select between three modes: Clear Treble, Deep Bass, and Standard. For more EQ modes, you need to access the TOZO app, where you will find multiple EQ modes and the option to customize your own EQ mode.
You can also perform various actions using the Volume buttons like taking calls, controlling the media, choosing the listening mode, and restoring factory settings. Everything is detailed in the User Manual.
Sound Quality

Now coming to one of the most important aspects of the headphones, we find that the TOZO HA1 is wonderful in audio delivery as well. It can get enough loud if you love to blast your ears but it’s certainly not too overpowered. The lows, mids, and highs were all crystal clear at low and full volume and no distortion was detected. I am no audiophile but the HA1 is surely up to the mark compared to more premium headphones I have used till now.
Microphone
The microphone is pretty decent too. The mic is impressive and provides clear communication, unlike how you would normally assume with regular headphones. It’s like using a headset with a good microphone that cuts the background noise properly. The ENC is surely doing its job how it should.
Battery Life
Tracking the battery life was a bit complicated. I didn’t want to drain the complete battery to see how many hours it would last since it’s a time-consuming task. I wanted to see how many hours can it run before I can see a 10% decrease in battery life.
With continuous media playback at 75% volume, I saw the battery life reduce by 10% in around 4.5 hours. I tested this again and found the same result. This means, that when fully charged, the TOZO HA1 will last for around 45 hours in total, which is impressive. At 100% volume, expect a battery life reduction by a few hours.
Verdict

Standing out among the crowd isn’t easy when it comes to headphones. This is especially difficult when we are considering headphones that fall in the $30-$60 price range but TOZO did an amazing job with the HA1 headphones. I wouldn’t say that these are for audiophiles but they are ideal in most scenarios like work, gaming, and multimedia.
The sound clarity, microphone performance, and the controls onboard provide a pleasant experience for everything. Bluetooth connectivity and app support further enrich the experience. Ergonomics are great, and its foldable aspect is wonderful for portability. Battery life is also terrific but it isn’t 70 hours as advertised.
TOZO has launched the HA1 headphones for $29.99 on Amazon and we think that if you are looking for a versatile solution, you should them the TOZO HA1 headphones a try.
Good and clear audio delivery along with ENC-equipped microphone makes the TOZO HA1 wonderful for work and gaming. It’s onboard controls and foldable properties further make it an ideal companion on the go.
